ABOUT THE CAMP

The 11th Annual Player Development Camp will once again be held at East Stroudsburg University in the heart of the Pocono Mountains.

PURPOSE OF CAMP

This camp is designed to expose young rugby athletes to higher levels of coaching and thereby foster development of both individual and team skills. The camp curriculum consists of the most current skills and theories taught by USA Rugby certified coaches, including National Team coaches, athletes and instructors.

BENEFITS TO ATHLETE

Each athlete will receive:

INDIVIDUAL ATHLETE EVALUATION

During the course of the camp, each athlete will receive a written Athlete Profile Evaluation that identifies strengths, weaknesses and areas of required improvement to compete at a higher level. A member of the coaching staff prepares the Evaluation and will discuss it with the athlete on an individual basis.

LEVELS OF PARTICIPATION

Athletes at all levels of skill and development will be divided into teams based on skill, age, gender and size. The teams will then progress through four days of activities designed to improve both individual and team play. The camp ends with an informal match in which athletes can implement what they have learned.
